Barclays appointed Taylor Wright and Cathal Deasy as the new co-heads of its investment banking team.
The changes are expected to come into effect in late March.
- Deasy is joining Barclays from Credit Suisse, where he served as the co-head of investment banking and capital markets for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
- Wright joined Barclays in 2019 from Morgan Stanley as the co-head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets.
- According to Bloomberg, the bank is actively exploring how the current co-heads, John Miller and Jean-Francois Astier, could continue to guide the team in senior roles at the bank.
- Under the current co-heads, last year, Barclays finished in sixth place among Wall Street’s biggest investment banking groups. It was an improvement from eighth place three years ago.
