Dimension, a venture firm established last March, debuted today with an oversubscribed $350M fund to back software tech and life science startups.

The fund crossed its initial fundraising target of $300M before its final close in December 2022.

  • The firm was founded by ex-Lux Capital executives Zavain Dar and Adam Goulburn, along with former Obvious Ventures executive Nan Li.
  • Dimension is targeting seed to Series A stage startups.
  • The firm has already backed four startups to date, namely project tracking software firm Kaleidoscope Bio, AI-powered drug discovery platform Enveda Biosciences, R&D lab data infrastructure provider Lamin AI, and an unnamed company in stealth mode.

  • Venture funding for the healthcare industry declined by 35% in 2022, with digital health investments plunging by 50%.
