Netflix and Bumble are partnering for a promotion in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., allowing singles to be matched based on their Netflix show preferences.

The promotion will see the singles play a game about popular Netflix shows and then be introduced to someone who likes the same show.

  • A Bumble survey showed that 78% of singles said a date was easier when both people had the same taste in TV and movies.
  • 59% of Gen Z respondents said that a potential match was more appealing if they liked the same movies ad shows.
  • 72% of singles on Bumble said they talk about TV and movies on their first date.
  • The partnership intends to drive loyalty and repeat customers to both brands by tying more aspects of someone's life into the applications.
  • Bumble has previously partnered with HBO for movie date nights.
