Sales enablement platform Showpad’s recent survey among salespeople revealed that four in five respondents found it harder to engage with buyers over virtual meetings. 40% of the respondents said it is personally costing them sales.


  • 65% of the respondents said it was difficult to read a prospect’s body language to understand the success of their pitch.
    • 43% of sellers felt disadvantaged as they could not use their own body language during the pitch.
  • More than one-third (40%) believe the lack of knowledge and training (29%) affected their abilities to build trust with clients.
  • 82% said the hybrid work culture affected interactions between their team and other departments in the company.
  • Showpad surveyed around 510 salespersons from the tech, manufacturing, and finance industries that have annual revenues of between $2M and $1B.
