The virtual e-commerce startup Emperia recently raised $10M Series A to help brands enter the metaverse.

- Base10 Partners led the funding round with participation from Daphni, Sony Innovation Fund, Background Capital, Stanford Capital Partners, Concept Ventures, and several angel investors.
- The company plans to use the funds to grow its team, expand partnerships, and build new customization tools.
- Emperia plans to use customer information to help brands personalize each user's visit to the virtual storefront.
- Since launching in 2019, the startup has partnered with several well-known fashion brands, including Dior, Bloomingdale's, Burberry, Sunglass Hut, and Lacoste.
