1 million people signed up to try Microsoft's new AI-enabled Bing

 

More than 1 million people signed up to try Microsoft's new AI-enabled Bing within the first 48 hours the waitlist became available, according to company executive Yusuf Mehdi.  Microsoft announced the new version of Bing on Tuesday. That day, the new Bing went live in a limited preview, though that only includes pre-set queries to try out. Users can join a waitlist to request full access to the AI-powered Bing. The early preview is expected to launch in the next few weeks. The new Bing uses AI to search for and summarize web content in a conversational manner, showing annotated answers. Additionally, the results page offers a new AI chat interface for users to converse with a chatbot about their search.
