AI-powered Bing rolling out to testers

Microsoft has now rolled out an early preview of its AI-powered Bing search engine to the first wave of testers.

Within the first 48 hours, 1 million people signed up on a waitlist to try out a full version of the service, which integrates next-gen OpenAI technology into Bing.

  • Microsoft has started sending out an email to early testers, informing them that they now have access to the desktop version of AI-powered Bing.
  • The experience combines AI-powered search, chat, and browsing. For example, users can interact with a chatbot to refine their search or use the AI to generate new content.
  • In the email to testers, the company also noted that it's "actively working on" a mobile version of the new Bing, which should be "ready soon."
  • According to Windows Latest, Microsoft plans to introduce a "substantial optimized interface" for the Bing AI chatbot for iOS and Android. The mobile version will include "all-new OpenAI-powered content."
  • Microsoft also released a limited preview of AI-powered BIng on desktop, which anyone can access.
