Canadian home prices could drop 3.3%

RE/MAX's Canadian Real Estate Outlook 2023 estimates the national average price would drop 3.3%

However, the report forecast sales to increase by 34%.

The report prepared based on surveys of RE/MAX brokers in Canada predicts most regions would see balanced conditions, contrary to the previous year.

  • Average prices in Halifax and Calgary are expected to increase by 8% and 7%, respectively.
  • Jill Oudil, the chair of the CREA, said that the spring market this year could be the first one in years where buyers will not be out-competed.
