A planned drama series based on the DC Comics characters "Dead Boy Detectives" jumped from HBO Max over to Netflix.
Warner Bros. Television shopped the series around after DC Studios executives James Gunn and Peter Safran decided that it didn't fit in with the rest of their plans.
HBO Max and DC Studios have plans for five interconnected shows, including "Peacemaker," which debuted last year.
- Steve Yockey ("The Flight Attendant") created the series and will serve as co-showrunner alongside "Arrow" vet Beth Schwartz; Greg Berlanti is onboard as an executive producer.
- The series -- based on comics by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner -- concerns two dead British teens, now ghosts, who solve supernatural mysteries with the help of their living friend.
