Amazon and BBC teamed up for a second season of the espionage thriller series "The Night Manager."
Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Jonathan Pine from Season 1.
Though no deals have yet been finalized, Deadline reported that Amazon and BBC plan to produce two new seasons of the series, which is based on a novel by John le Carré.
- Season 2 will enter production later this year in London and South America.
- David Farr, who wrote the original adaptation, will return for the new season; Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier ("Bird Box") has been tapped to direct.
- The first season was one of the top-rated UK drama series of 2016; it aired on AMC in the US.
