Energy Capital Partners has acquired the U.K.-based recycling company Biffa for $2.6B.  Biffa serves over 2 million households. Energy Capital Partners is an investment company specializing in renewable energy, electricity storage, production, etc. Since being founded in 2005, the firm has had $27B in committed capital. The New Jersey-based company has 68 employees. Biffa is an integrated waste management company that deals with every aspect of the process, from recycling, treatment, energy generation, collection, and disposal, to surplus redistribution.  The company treats around 8 million tons of waste annually. Biffa has been active for over 100 years and has nearly 10,000 employees.
