During a Feb. 20 interview, the chief strategy officer of the Human Rights Foundation (HRF), Alex Gladstein, said that Bitcoin (BTC) fixes broken democracies and fights government corruption. 

He also added that the world's most popular cryptocurrency represents free speech, property rights, and open capital markets.

In the interview, Gladstein underlined that Bitcoin makes it hard for governments like China and Russia to impose censorship, confiscation, and closed capital markets on the public. 

  • HRF's chief strategy officer anticipates that more people will shift to Bitcoin as an alternative in the coming years due to conventional finance's technical and liquidity troubles.
  • Gladstein, also famous as a Bitcoin advocate, has been serving the HRF since 2007.

HRF is a nonprofit organization that aims to advance and defend human rights worldwide, especially in nations where citizens are subjected to an authoritarian government.
