InfluxData, used by companies like Tesla, Siemens, and Hulu, has raised an $81M Series E funding round to help businesses store and analyze data. 

The funding is structured in both equity and debt.


  • InfluxData offers InfluxDB, a database used for time series data by developers. Developers can use the company's open client libraries for the languages that a developer is writing code in.
  • Princeville Capital and Citi Ventures led the equity portion of the funding round, with participation from Battery Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Sapphire Ventures, Trinity Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Sorenson Capital, and Harmony Partners.
  • Silicon Valley Bank provided $30M in debt funding.
  • InfluxData aims to use the funding to boost the development of its open-source project, InfluxDB IOx.
  • Its platform is used by companies such as Tesla, Siemens, Hulu, IBM, Cisco, etc.
  • The company is remote-first but is based in San Francisco.
