King’s College Hospital (KCH) London-Dubai has selected Oracle Cerner to provide an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Oracle
Cerner will leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to develop a new
care delivery model that can facilitate information exchange among
healthcare providers, patients, and locations.
- KCH is a leading teaching hospital based in London, U.K., with a second location in Dubai, U.A.E.
- Oracle acquired Cerner, a digital information systems provider for healthcare, in late 2021 for $28.3B.
- OCI
cloud services will be delivered via the Oracle Cloud Dubai Region and
used to operate, manage, and enhance KCH’s EMR system.
- OCI
will enable the hospital to host a large volume of clinical data, which
can be utilized to support preventative and population-based health
services.
- Himanshu Puri, head of information technology at KCH
Dubai, referred to Oracle’s technology offerings as “a cost-efficient,
secure, and scalable foundation on which to grow” that “can pass a
multitude of benefits to its patients, community, and the region.”
