Klarna GMV grows by 71% in US

 


Klarna's gross merchandise value (GMV) in the U.S. grew by 71% last year. 

The Swedish fintech pointed to rising demand for its app as the main reason for its rapid growth.

  • Klarna announced on Wednesday that its GMV in the U.S. market grew by $80B to reach $137B in 2022.
  • The U.S. has surpassed Germany to become the Swedish fintech's largest market by revenue.
  • Klarna's main offering in the U.S. is its BNPL (buy now, pay later) product.
  • On Wednesday, the company unveiled a new financial tool called "Money Store" that will help its BNPL customers manage their spending.
