Michael Demissie, the head of digital assets at Bank of New York Mellon, says despite bear market conditions, investors are still interested in crypto.
- Demissie says, "What we see is clients are absolutely interested in digital assets, broadly."
- The study shows that 70% of respondents would
increase their activity in the digital asset space, given that
custodial services are available from trusted institutions.
- Regardless of the current crypto winter conditions:
- 88% are using the "buy and hold" strategy, and
- 91% are interested in tokenized projects.
- BNY Mellon launched a Digital Assets Unit in 2021, which was approved by the New York Department of Financial Services before launching its crypto custody services.
