NBA partners with Gym Class VR basketball app

 

NBA strikes new licencing agreement with Gym Class VR basketball app Gym Class VR has signed a licensing deal with the National Basketball Association (NBA).  Users can play on team-branded courts and decorate their customizable avatars with official virtual apparel and accessories.  Gym Class VR claims to be the most widely used VR basketball application, with over 1 million downloads.  The VR app offers a free-to-play mode and a "Gym Class Pro" with premium features.  Gym Class VR launched in 2021, is powered by Meta's Oculus Quest platform. Andreessen Horowitz and Kevin Durant‘s Thirty-Five Ventures (35V) has invested $9M in Gym Class VR to date.
