Private equity firm Mercato Partners has closed on a $400M fund for investing in high-growth technology companies.

  One of the companies in its portfolio is Lambda, which specializes in deep learning AI infrastructure.


  • Utah-based Mercato announced Lambda as one of the five key investments in the $400M Traverse Fund IV portfolio.
  • Lambda designs workstations, servers, and laptops for deep learning tasks.
  • The San Franciso-based company says it provides hardware to many in the Fortune 500, including Intel, Microsoft, and Amazon, as well as universities such as MIT, Stanford, and Harvard.
  • Other companies in the Traverse Fund IV portfolio include Atomic, Klover, Paytient, and Prime Trust.
  • Founded in 2007, Mercato has invested in 67 companies since its inception.
