Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff told The New York Times that he took a 10-day digital detox after announcing layoffs last month.  At the beginning of the new year, Salesforce laid off 10% of its employees.  Benioff said he now thinks a two-hour all-hands call on the day after announcing layoffs, where he compared layoffs to mourning people who died, was a bad idea. He added that the company was trying to explain the unexplainable and paid the price for having a call with a large group.
