Salesforce's Ireland office will lay off 200 staff members to reduce costs.

The recent staff cuts were part of Salesforce's planned global layoffs. The company plans to reduce 10% of its staff headcount worldwide.

  • "These are part of the reductions we announced in January," a spokesperson said.
  • Salesforce is not the only tech giant to cut its workforce in Ireland. Companies including Meta, Google, Twitter, Intel, Intercom, and Stripe have also reduced staff headcount in the country.
  • Salesforce is taking drastic measures to reduce cost and staff because "we hired too many people," CEO Marc Benioff said.
