Kansas-based Manhattan Brewing Company has teamed up with Varsity Donuts to create Varsity MBD Stout, a maple bacon doughnut-flavored beer.   The stout is expected to be between 10-12% ABV and will be available at the Manhattan Brewing Company taproom. According to Jake Voegeli, Manhattan Brewing Company's owner, this is an "awesome collaboration with two great Manhattan businesses that’s long overdue.”  Manhattan Brewing Company intends to release additional collaborations with local businesses. The brewery announced making a new beer with Rock-A-Belly Deli based on an old recipe that the owner of Rock-A-Belly "used when he brewed a long time ago.” The sugar from the doughnuts reportedly gives the beer both alcohol and flavor.
