Smartphone builder Samsung has partnered with Google and Qualcomm on a new mixed-reality platform alongside its new Galaxy S23 smartphone lineup.  The three companies are already developing smartphones together, and Samsung is the latest tech giant leaning into virtual and augmented reality.   More: Samsung builds the hardware of Galaxy phones, Qualcomm makes the processor, and Google manages the Android operating system.  Qualcomm has already teamed up with Meta on its future devices and Microsoft on its AR glasses hardware.  Samsung previously launched the Gear VR headset in several iterations from 2015 to 2017.
