Boston-based venture capital and private equity firm Summit Partners held the final close of its Europe Growth Equity IV fund at its hard cap of €1.4B ($1.5B).
Summit aims to make majority and minority equity investments into European startups across technology, healthcare, life sciences, and growth products and services sectors.
- Individual check sizes will range between €20M ($21.4M) and €80M ($85.6M).
- The new fund brings the firm's total capital raised to date to over $43B.
- Summit is a registered investment advisor that also invests in public equities.
- Since its founding in 1984, the firm has backed 550 startups.
- Last week, it participated in Canadian home services scheduling startup Jobber's $100M Series D funding round led by General Atlantic.
