T-Mobile and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered to provide enhanced private wireless networks by combining T-Mobile’s 5G Advanced Network Solutions portfolio with AWS cloud-based services and applications.
T-Mobile has also become the first U.S. mobile carrier to join the AWS Private Wireless program.
The partnership will enable T-Mobile to leverage AWS’s cloud and edge products for its 5G advanced network portfolio.
- T-Mobile is able to offer customizable 5G edge computing offerings through its collaboration with AWS.
- AWS says its new Integrated Private Wireless program incorporates private 4G and 5G wireless technologies from leading telcos with AWS services sourced from AWS regions, local zones and outposts, and AWS Snow Family devices.
- AWS has worked with well-known telcos, including T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, KDDI, and Telefonica Tech, to deploy the private 4G and 5G technologies for its Private Wireless program.
