Google Cloud has announced a partnership with the Tezos Foundation, an open-source, proof-of-stake blockchain protocol for digital assets and applications.
This collaboration enables Google Cloud customers to become network validators.
- The new partnership aims to democratize Web3 application development by providing developers with advanced tools and infrastructure to accelerate blockchain-based application development.
- Google Cloud customers can use Tezos’ protocol to build Web3 applications and deploy nodes and indexers. Nodes are the base of blockchain infrastructure and exchange blockchain data.
- According to its website, Tezos’ platform is centered on user participation and governance. It is backed by state-of-the-art modular architecture to lower technological barriers associated with Web3 application development.
- In Oct. 2022, Google Cloud launched a Blockchain Engine on Ethereum, a fully-managed node hosting service that purports to reduce the need for node operations. This offering leverages Google Cloud services for enhanced security and speed.
- Tezos boasts clients like Ubisoft and the California DMV, as well as partnerships with Manchester United, McLaren, Société Générale, and others.
