U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan ordered Sam Bankman-Fried to stop using encrypted services to communicate with FTX and Alameda employees.  The disgraced crypto CEO was reportedly using Signal to send encrypted messages to establish relationships.   Legal teams have until Feb. 7 to make arguments for and against the bail modification order.  Prosecutors argued that SBF is using apps like Signal to communicate with external parties, which can be seen as "witness tampering."  Bankman-Fried's legal team argued the communication efforts were "merely an innocuous attempt to offer assistance in FTX's bankruptcy process and do not reflect misconduct."
