Workday Super Bowl ad features rock legends

 

Workday has revealed its first-ever Super Bowl commercial ahead of this weekend's game.  

The commercial features five rock legends getting annoyed at the common use of the term rockstar when referring to overachievers at work. 


  • The ad is a 60-second spot and was created by Ogilvy. 
  • The rock legends include Paul Stanley (of KISS), Joan Hett, Billy Idol, Gary Clark, and Ozzy Osbourne. 
  • Workday's Chief Marketing Officer, Pete Schlampp, says that the goal is to position Workday as a household name in the workplace management software industry. 
  • Schlampp says they chose a Super Bowl ad since they wanted to appeal to both the managers at companies making purchasing decisions and the employees who will benefit from their managers implementing the software.
