Internet search engine You.com has launched a chatbot that can generate text answers, videos, and other data in response to queries.
The "multimodal" search feature is an upgraded version of the company's YouChat AI chatbot, which initially launched in December.
- The YouChat 2.0 update is based on a large language model known as C-A-L, or Chat, Apps, and Links.
- In addition to text generation, the generative AI can surface images, videos, graphics, software code, and more data in response to user queries.
- You.com said it now has millions of daily users and is seeing "double-digit percentage growth" on a monthly basis.
- The San Francisco startup was co-founded by CEO Richard Socher, a former Salesforce EVP who is among the top five most cited AI researchers in natural language processing (NLP).
