A large number of new actors joined the cast of Amazon's "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" ahead of its second season. 

 Season 2 of the epic fantasy series is currently in production in the UK.

  • Irish actor Ciarán Hinds, who played the "King-Beyond-the-Wall" Mance Rayder in "Game of Thrones," joined the Amazon series in a recurring role, along with British actors Rory Kinnear and Tanya Moodie.
  • No details on any of the trio's characters were revealed.
  • Season 1 of "The Rings of Power" featured 23 actors in series regular roles.
  • Other new cast members include Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Stuart Bowman, Gavi Singh Chera, William Chubb, Kevin Eldon, Will Keen, Selina Lo, Calam Lynch, Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen “Zates” Atour, and Ben Daniels.
  • "The Rings of Power" Season 2 comes to Prime Video in 2024.
