Aéropostale is expanding into the metaverse and is attempting to attract customers to its new Web3 offerings through a Tesla giveaway.

 The move into the metaverse comes as part of a four-part plan developed in partnership with MetaversePlus.

Aéropostale is launching AeroPax, a collection of 30,000 NFTs that will go on sale next week and provide holders with special promotions, limited edition clothing, and entry into Aéropostale's metaverse events. 

  • 10 AeroPax holders will also win a Tesla, providing an additional incentive to participate in the NFT sale next week. 
  • Each purchaser of an AeroPax NFT will also receive a hoodie and be the first to be able to claim an avatar in Aéropostale's AeroWorld. 
  • The move by Aéropostale into the metaverse follows successful moves by American Eagle into the space as apparel companies fight for Gen Z market share.
