Microsoft has added a new button to Bing Chat that lets users share the AI chatbot's responses on social media.
The button generates links to share on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, as well as email, according to a company blog post today.
- In
addition, users can create a persistent link, or permalink, that links
directly to the original Bing Chat window showing the chatbot response.
- Those who click on the permalink can interact with that shared answer, essentially continuing their own conversation with the chatbot.
- However,
this appears to only work for those who use Microsoft Edge and are
signed in to their Microsoft account for the Bing Chat preview, The
Verge reported.
- Microsoft also unveiled other updates for Bing Chat. For example, it recently added the chatbot and a compose feature to the Edge browser sidebar.
- The
company said it also upgraded Bing's ability to take in more context
during the bot's "creative" tone conversations. The other two "tones" that people can select for the chatbot's responses are "precise" and "balanced."
