Kongsberg Digital, a Norwegian technology firm, has partnered with Chevron Technical Center, a division of U.S. oil major Chevron, supporting Chevron in adopting digital twins.
The partnership aims to digitize Chevron's global assets using Kongsberg Digital's digital twin solution.
The agreement between Chevron and Kongsberg Digital includes a multi-year contract.
- The new deal expands on contracts signed in 2021.
- The digital twin technology will reportedly benefit Chevron in work planning, project execution, faster troubleshooting, lower cost, and reduced personal and process safety risk.
Last month, Kongsberg Digital reported that it would provide navigation simulators to the Royal Navy.
