Clothing retailer Rue21 announced that it would get a new CEO.

 

Clothing retailer Rue21 announced that it would get a new CEO.  Josh Burris will replace current CEO Bill Brand as the retail industry continues to struggle against high inflation and rising interest rates. Burris previously served as CEO of GNC after working at companies including Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister. Rue21 is continuing its turnaround process after exiting bankruptcy in 2017. The company is considering a restructure after working with lenders to strengthen its finances toward the end of last year. Rue21 continues to expand its retail footprint after announcing plans to open 15 stores in 2020.
