 AI with AR technology is expected to advance personalization and provide visitors with a unique experience even when on a group tour, the recent ITB Berlin conference revealed.  

During the ITB Berlin conference, some attractions, tech providers, and destinations discussed how these technologies would heighten the visitor experience.

  • There is a growing interest in integrating immersive technologies seamlessly with experiences at attractions:
    • Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products aims to implement "next-generation storytelling" with immersive technologies in its theme parks and attractions.
    • Historic Royal Palaces partnered with Layered Reality to launch the Gunpowder Plot, which combines VR and live acting to tell the 1605 story.
    • Singapore Tourism Board plans to use augmented reality technology to enhance the experience of Fort Siloso, a World War II fort on Sentosa.
