Friday Night Baseball changes

Only Apple TV+ subscribers will get access to Friday Night Baseball games during the upcoming season.

Apple had made some of the games free to stream for all last year but will put all 2023 games behind the paywall.

  • Apple also announced a change to its on-air announcing team; Wayne Rendazzo and Alex Faust will handle play-by-play this season, with Dontrelle Willis and Ryan Spilborghs providing analysis and Heidi Watney and Tricia Whitaker on the sidelines.
  • The pre- and post-game show teams will remain intact, with host Lauren Gardner returning.
  • This season will also feature some additional content from the MLB, including recap shows, abridged versions of games, and a recap show called "Big Inning."
  • "Friday Night Baseball" returns to TV+ on April 7, with the Texas Rangers facing the Chicago Cubs.
