Google debuts new AI features for cloud customers

 


Google has introduced a slew of new AI features for its cloud customers and has signed agreements with several AI startups to provide its cloud services as it aims to get ahead in the AI race.

 The search giant launched new AI tools for email, collaboration, and cloud software. 

  • On March 14, Google shared that it had signed agreements with numerous AI startups to provide its cloud services, including Midjourney, which specializes in image generation, AI21, which offers customizable language models for various functions; and Osmo, which is developing technology that enables computers to understand smells for disease detection and environmental safety.  
  • Google says its new cloud tools have been unveiled to a group of “trusted testers” but has not shared any specific details regarding pricing. 
  • The search giant’s newly released generative AI tools for cloud customers include the Pathways Language Model (PaLM), the Generative AI App Builder, and Generative AI support in Vertex AI, Google Cloud’s ML platform. 
  • Google claims its Generative AI App Builder allows developers to create bots, chat interfaces, custom search engines, digital assistants, and more.
