Google has unveiled new AI partnerships focused on cancer screenings and maternal health, making it easier for users to access health data from their devices. 

The company also uses AI to expand the health information it surfaces for consumers through its search capabilities.

  • Fitbit users will have more accessible health and wellness data from their devices.
    • Google will make more of Fitbit's health metrics features available to users without a subscription.
  • The company also launched Open Health Stack, a suite of open-source building blocks to help developers quickly build digital health apps.
  • The tech giant is partnering with a New Zealand mental health and crisis helplines network to increase the number of crisis helplines that appear at the top of search results.
    • Searches include suicide, domestic violence, and other personal crisis topics.
  • Google is working with Mayo Clinic to explore how AI can support the time-consuming planning process for radiotherapy.
