Imagine-Amazon first-look deal

Howard and Grazer

Amazon Studios signed a multi-year first look film deal with Imagine Entertainment, the company co-founded by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

Amazon will get the first crack at the company's new narrative features and documentaries.

  • Imagine had a previous film deal with Apple.
  • Amazon and Imagine collaborated on the upcoming documentary "Judy Blume Forever," profiling the iconic YA author; it hits Prime Video on April 21.
  • Imagine also produced the Thai cave rescue drama "Thirteen Lives," which Howard directed; that was released by Amazon-owned MGM, and streams on Amazon Prime.
