Julie Mares will serve as the new senior vice president for e-commerce retailer Saks Off 5th.
She is expected to help the e-retailer focus on improving its customer-facing initiatives.
Mares joined Saks Off 5th after leading e-commerce and omnichannel at men's shirt company Untuckit.
- In addition to serving for three years at Untuckit, Mares has over 20 years of retail experience in various leadership positions at Walmart, Gucci, Macy's, Century 21, and Simon Property Group.
- SaksOff5th.com CEO Paige Thomas told Women's Wear Daily that the company is shifting its focus from logistics to building out new customer-facing initiatives.
- The company said on Monday that it plans to develop "digital capabilities to support its growing business, driving new initiatives while prioritizing the customer experience."
