Kohl's has named Dave Alves as its new chief operating officer (COO). Alves was selected to replace Michelle Gass after she abruptly left Kohl's to become president of Levi's in December.
- Alves will be responsible for overseeing several of Kohl's operations, including its global supply chain and its network of almost 1,200 stores.
- He has over three decades of experience in the retail industry, having worked at firms including TJX Europe and the Hudson's Bay company.
- Alves joined Kohl's board in 2021 as part of an overhaul led by activist investors.
- Kohl's revenue fell by 7% in Q3, and it has yet to set a date to announce its Q4 earnings.
