Korean tech giant Samsung is looking to position itself as a cloud solutions provider for B2B customers.
At
a March 10 press conference on cloud business strategy, Hwang Sung-woo,
CEO of Samsung SDS, shared that the company has “prepared a lot over
the past two years to provide services that can be easily used.”
- Samsung’s new slogan for its cloud service is ‘Cloud, Simply Fit.’
- Samsung SDS specializes in the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP), Managed Cloud Service (MSP), and several SaaS offerings.
- The
SCP is said to provide cloud services tailored to the needs of B2B
customers who require security, safety, and availability.
- The company recently finished building a data center in Dongtan,
a city in South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province. The new data center is said
to provide “high-speed and large-capacity cloud computing services” to
enable AI, big data analysis, and R&D tasks.
