Levi Strauss & Co. is collaborating with digital AI studio LaLaLand.ai to deploy artificial intelligence-generated models on their e-commerce channels to deliver a more all-encompassing and inclusive customer experience. 

The company intends to employ these AI models to supplement its human models as part of its strategy.

Traditionally, underrepresented groups have faced exclusion from the modeling industry, making it unclear how incorporating AI-generated models will impact hiring practices. For this reason, Levis' decision to integrate hyper-realistic AI models to enhance diversity has generated some skepticism.

  • Prada and Puma have already utilized virtual models to spearhead their campaigns.
  • Levi Strauss & Co., the parent company of Levi's, Dockers, and Beyond Yoga, strives to increase diversity in their human models by emphasizing age, size, body type, and skin color.
  • The company claims the move will help enrich the diversity and heighten customers' online experience.
