Microsoft adds AI to business apps

 

Microsoft announced new AI tools for business tasks and applications. 

 The tech giant unveiled Dynamics 365 Copilot, an AI-powered suite of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools. It also launched new AI features within its Power Platform, its low-code applications for developing apps, AI bots, workflows, and more.

  • As of today, Microsoft is offering the "Copilot" version of its Dynamics 365 business management platform, which aims to automate some customer service, marketing, and sales tasks.
  • Dynamics 365 Copilot, described as an AI assistant, incorporates OpenAI technology to automate tasks, such as writing email responses, drafting chat and email answers, and producing email summaries or Teams meeting in Outlook.
  • The tools are now in preview mode in Dynamics 365 applications, as well as Microsoft Viva Sales.

  • Separately, Microsft unveiled new generative AI tools within its Power Platform.
  • These include the Power Virtual Agent for businesses to develop chatbots, which now automatically creates summaries of customer queries and weekly reports.
  • The AI Builder feature, which automates business workflow, has also added a new content-generating model and Azure OpenAI services.
