OpenAI has released an API

 

OpenAI has released an API that will make it easier for companies to integrate the technology into their existing products.  Snap Inc, Instacart, and Shopify have all announced that they will use the API to add new features.  OpenAI says this was possible due to a 90% cost reduction the company has attained since December as it continues to optimize its software.  Snap will use the technology to launch the My AI chatbot for Snapchat+, which will provide better service to paying members.  Shopify is using the technology to create a new shopping assistant, while Instacart is using it to debut a new Ask Instacart feature to help with recipes and other shopping questions.
