Pernod Ricard buys Skrewball Whiskey

Skrewball Whiskey, famous for its peanut butter flavor, has been acquired by Pernod Ricard, a major player in the wine and spirits industry whose portfolio includes brands such as Jameson and Absolut vodka.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Skrewball has grown steadily since its launch and sold over half a million 9-liter cases last year.

  • Steven and Brittany Yeng founded Skrewball in 2018 and self-funded the company.
  • Flavored whiskey, including Skrewball, is becoming more popular.
  • The acquisition will give Skrewball a global audience and allow the Yengs to spend more time with their family.

Steven Yeng's father's use of Ricard, an anise and licorice-flavored liqueur, in his sausage-making and the family's love of peanut butter inspired the creation of Skrewball.
