TANGLE COMES WITH ROOM VARIATIONS. Tangle, a virtual reality (VR) startup, has raised $4M to develop its platform for remote work and collaboration for virtual teams.  The funding round, led by Qualcomm Ventures, included participation from Presence Capital and Mergelane. According to Tangle, the "current industry tooling for remote work is disjointed, taking a psychological toll on remote workers."  The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trend toward remote work, and Tangle aims to provide a more engaging and interactive way for remote teams to work together. Tangle's platform allows remote workers to collaborate and hold meetings in VR, using avatars to represent themselves and communicate via voice chat. The platform is compatible with VR headsets like the Oculus Quest 2 and desktop and mobile devices. Tangle is positioning itself as a virtual replacement for physical offices, allowing teams to connect in immersive spaces that simulate real-life environments.
