U.S. pet retail giant Petco details how adopting Salesforce cloud tools has helped improve customer engagement and overall revenue. 

The California-based company claims that since implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud into its customer outreach operations, email opens and click rates jumped 30% and 50%, respectively. 

Using Salesforce Marketing Cloud has enabled Petco to access a comprehensive data set spanning multiple platforms. A richer data set has helped the company engage in better customer engagement tactics by developing a hyper-personalized email program based on relevance and individual customer needs. 

  • Petco has used Salesforce Marketing Cloud to launch email campaigns and enhance digital experiences at physical Petco stores.
  • The pet retailer has also leveraged Salesforce’s AI-powered recommendations for product recommendations and other suggestions that humans can vet. 
  • According to Andrea Matthews, Petco’s VP of CRM, the development language in Marketing Cloud is easy to navigate, and developers can “pick it up pretty quickly.”
