Zulily announces more layoffs

Zulily said on Monday that it plans to lay off staff.

The online retailer began a turnaround strategy at the start of 2022, including a round of layoffs in its corporate workforce.

  • Parent company Qurate reported last week that Zulily’s revenue declined by 28% in Q4 and 38% for all of 2022.
  • The online retailer posted an operating loss of $396M for the quarter and a loss of $469M for the whole year.
  • The upcoming job cuts are separate from the layoffs announced by Qurate, which will affect 400 people or about 12% of its corporate workforce.
  • Zulili did not specify the number of employees affected by its upcoming job cuts but said they would receive support.
