Alibaba is opening a cloud computing course at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) that undergraduate students can take to earn academic credits toward their degree.
The course will be offered at HKU’s business school starting this September.
- The
course is called “Cloud Computing: Essential and Application in
Entrepreneurship” and will be centered on experiential learning based on
real-life scenarios involving cloud technology.
- According to the Alibaba Cloud website, students enrolled in the course will also be provided with technological resources and industry insights.
- Participating
students will also have access to free registration in the Alibaba
Cloud Certified Associate — Cloud Computing exam; access to over 300
AAEP (Alibaba Cloud Academic Empowerment Program) online courses in
cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI); and
resources for teachers and students participating in the course to
experience first-hand how cloud computing works.
- The course will be open to 40-50 HKU undergraduate students.
