All-in-one real estate technology platform Place filed a lawsuit against advisory firm Vista Point Advisors.   Place assists real estate agents with administrative support, marketing and branding, lead generation, and accounting.  In Nov. 2021, Place raised a $100M Series A round at a $1B valuation led by Goldman Sachs. The advisory firm is claiming a $4.9M service from the Series A financing.  The lawsuit concerns Place co-founder Ben Kinney's other company Brivity, for which Vista Point was hired to find a buyer in 2019.  The lawsuit accused Vista Point of providing a very early skeleton instead of a list of potential buyers showing its lack of familiarity with the real estate business.  Place claims it was founded in Oct. 2021, one year after Vista Point ceased all contact with Brivity.
